Awake is a TV show about a detective that lives two lives. When he falls asleep he awakes in one reality and when he falls asleep in that reality he awakes in the other. It all started from a car crash, and from there his reality splits. In one life he shares a life with his wife while his son died and the other his son while his wife died. “The show reminds me of Dexter with a dose of Parallel Dimensions.”
So how could this work? Your brain is the most complex piece of atoms put together. It has 100 billion nerve cells that transmit electrochemical signals. When the car crash happened, these electrochemical signals could have acted differently. When you experience such a disaster, you may experience a slow motion effect or you may just simply black out. Science does not fully understand why or even have a fully understanding of the brain. All we understand is just the outline of it, just enough to treat tumors and explain how a thought is processed.
An electron is the tiniest piece of matter in the universe. There is no known specific place for it to end up and it can be at two places at the same time. Studies show that just looking at it can change the way it behaves. One minute it can be a particle and the next a wave. It is the only particle to do this, which makes sense since it is the smallest in the universe so it should act differently. However, physicists are starting to believe that it is our own conscious mind that changes it.
Little tiny microscopic black holes disappear, and appear for no reason. They are called quantum mechanical black holes. Physicists don’t know why they exist, but they do and some are even created at CERN.
There are many types of parallel dimensions. One type is all around us. No matter what we do, we are stuck in our 3D universe with Time elevating, coordinating, and splitting like the wind in the 4th Dimension. The 4th Dimension is considered to be Time. We don’t say we live in a 4D universe because we don’t control Time. Our world is 3D because we can move in it, in 3D (3 Dimensions). If we were able to move in 4D, we would all be time travelers.
Now that you are more educated, you can conclude that any type of phenomena dealing with future predictions can only be perceived in the 4th dimension. You can conclude that any time a person has a premonition, his or hers brain gets somewhat linked to this 4th dimension of space where you would feel or see a reality that could be. It would make sense our subconscious mind would travel into the 4th Dimension because it works without our knowledge or consent. Many philosophers and inventors have come up with their theories and gadgets from dreaming. Remember dreaming comes from our subconscious. We don't control it.
If a brain consists of a 100 billion nerve cells, think about how many electrons much are there and all it would take is one electron to split or act differently for something phenomenal to happen. In CERN, they smash together particles to create little black holes. Theses black holes only last for a tiny fraction of a second but they are created.
So here is how Awake’s story could work scientifically. When he crashed, he also did an infinite amount of times in these parallel dimensions. For it to work, he would have had to die in one of the realities. When he died in one reality, he subconsciously got linked to himself in the other reality. A consciousness is kind of a particle because your brain is. So assuming it’s the size of an electron or smaller, you can make an educated guess that his consciousness split in two. So when he falls asleep, he subconsciously moves to the other dimension where his other body’s consciousness is gone. In that dimension, his consciousness is dead but subconscious is alive allowing him to switch realities in his sleep.. In another way of putting it, his electrons are at two places at the same time allowing his consciousness to move between dimensions allowing him to live in a world where his wife, and son are still alive and dead.
Another example of this scenario is the famous Schrodinger’s Cat scenario where a cat is place in a box and is considered to be both dead and alive at the same time. If he is able to travel between dimensions to experience both realities, he is the one in the box. In other words, is he the one that is dead? I’m sure if the crash happened an infinite amount of times, he ends up dead to.
In a world where he dies, his electrons react the same as they did in the other two realities producing a link, a tiny black hole to where when he falls asleep his dead consciousness moves from left to right keeping him alive in both realities.
This mind-boggling is it? Just think about it. He dies in one reality, and his consciousness simply floats off, between two versions of him alive. Sounds like science fiction but that’s the way the quantum world works. It’s chaotic and random! The brain is only a shell to our mind. Where does the mind go when we die? That’s an answer we will only know when we get there.
